She’s a ceramic bust with acrylic and exterior varnish and mounted on wood from a circa 200 year-old grain warehouse (procured when I was a nipper and kept for a special occasion) and then backed with driftwood from Cornwall. I adore this one. She looks like she wants a full-on fight – my go-to image when I think of chickens. I find this a totally realistic image as these amazing birds are, after all, so very nearly velociraptors! (While humans descend from small slimy lung-fish, my how the tide has turned for them poor things!)
