Jim McNeill, the leader of the Global-Warriors’ expeditions told me that a wolf wouldn’t tend to put it’s tongue out when snarling. This is true, said I, but then there wouldn’t be that delightful wee flash of red in the final sculpture. He took my point ha ha.

Jim befriended and became very close to a she-wolf that followed his last expedition as if she knew he was trying to help and I wanted to capture an arctic wolf for purpose.
