Many people think that Dartmoor ponies are cute and cuddly and want to because they look so lovely.  This is a big mistake as they are vicious and ultimately wild animals with sharp teeth and hooves. Some visitors feed the ponies and they become a slightly dangerous nuisance as a result. Cross them or move too quickly or look them straight in the eye and they react something like this.
